Green Idea Library at PAARC Nepal

A Green Idea Library is more than a traditional library. It is a dynamic space where
people come together to read, research, discuss, create, and develop ideas that
contribute to a greener, more inclusive, and sustainable society.

  • To cultivate a culture of reading, critical thinking, and lifelong learning by
providing an inclusive space where people can explore knowledge and broaden
    their perspectives.
  • To promote research, dialogue, and the exchange of ideas on environmental,
social, and community development issues, encouraging informed decision-
    making and collaborative learning.
  • To nurture creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills by supporting
individuals in developing and sharing practical ideas that contribute to
    sustainable and positive social change.
  • To empower youth, students, researchers, and community members through
access to knowledge, collaborative activities, and opportunities for leadership,
    learning, and civic engagement.
  • To serve as a community hub for inspiration and action, connecting people with
knowledge, networks, and resources that foster environmental stewardship,
    social responsibility, and sustainable development.
  • The Green Idea Fellowship (GIF) is a flagship fellowship program of Pokhara
Agrotourism Academy and Research Centre (PAARC Nepal) designed to
identify, mentor, and support national and international fellows who are
passionate about sustainability, agriculture, wellness, innovation, and community
development. The fellowship provides an interdisciplinary platform where
participants engage in research, experiential learning, innovation, and
collaborative action to develop practical solutions that contribute to environmental
conservation, regenerative agriculture, wellness tourism, and sustainable
    livelihoods.
  • The fellowship combines knowledge, research, field experience, mentorship, and
innovation, enabling fellows to transform creative ideas into impactful projects,
enterprises, policies, or community initiatives that promote a greener and
    healthier future.
